California - part 3 - Quick report

California - part 3 - Quick report
We have been for the whole week in this beautiful mansion with great pool

under the California sun, and yet we had the time to swim in the pool only

once. Last few days were so intense, all day long we've been on meetings

with other startup teams and people who could help us with advices or

recommendations on how to improve our product and how to reach targeted

customers or investors.
Plan for this week is even more intense then the last one. Right now we are

preparing for meeting in Palo Alto where we’ll be discusing with other

teams and mentors on subject "How to get customers and have a successful

exit".
Tomorow we have scheduled visiting Googleplex with Martin Omander and we

are very excited about that. The day after we are hosting two guys from

Polo Alto who could potentially become our partners for bringing Printheos

to US market.
Thursday is our last day in Blackbox and we are not sure what should we

choose to do on that day because there is so much to do, visit, see and

people to talk. For instance, on Thursday there is this event called "Pitch

force" where startup teams practice pitch right in front of investors and

the startup with best pitch is going to get a chance to immediately raise

funds from investors. In San Francisco there are also some guys from exYu,

central and eastern Europe in house which is sponsored by Slovenian startup

school Hekovnik (http://ssh.si/). We are in contact with them and it would

be great if we could have enough time just to have coffee and quick chat

with them. Beside that we are also contacting place called Startup Embassy

in Palo Alto for the similar reason. All this is just a small part of

possibilities in Silicon Valley. And we still have not found the time to

visit the giants like Apple, Facebook or Stanford University.
Last week we managed on one afternoon to visit San Francisco with our

roommate whose name is Philippe Lebeau. He is the co-founder of company

Zenday and they have a produced excellent smartphone application with the

same name (http://zenday-app.com/). With him we have visited the marina in

San Francisco where the famous competition America's Cup is being held

right now. After that we also have visited the most famous bridge in the

World, the Golden Gate bridge. Some of the pictures taken on that day you

can see in this post's gallery.
In next post we intend to bring you our impressions from Googleplex.
Until then, our dear friends from the other side of the Atlantic ocean, so

long and thanks for all the fish!
;)
